I have to share this with you. Yesterday Sally, Chelsea, and I decided to go to lunch at Tygervalley centre. I was facing the door and suddenly saw a man put a “cigarette” to his lips, take a drag, and exhale “smoke”! I couldn’t believe it! I had to remind myself that it is against the law to smoke in closed public places unless in a designated area. “The fool”, I said to myself. This fellow and his entourage then were offered a table, and he, cigarette in hand, was shown to his seat! I asked our waiter what they planned to do with this man. “Oh, it’s not a cigarette, it is an air vapour electronic cigarette” he replied. Well I never!

This is how the company who manufactures it sells the product that the cigarette” is the answer for the ever growing smoking bans in public places. This E-Cig does NOT produce second-hand smoke while it tastes, feels and reacts just like a real cigarette. Water Vapor Electronic Cigarettes produce simulated smoke that is actually a water vapor, it feel just like smoking conventional cigarettes and this ‘smoke’ looks real”.

If that isn’t “showing the world a “toffee” and simply saying that those who use these devices can “buck the system” then I don't know. How true is that of our world?  We do a good job of “showing the world a toffee” don’t we? I spoke of my pet peeve a few days ago with those who “jump the queue” on the highways and byways. Why? Because they feel that they are more important than those “plebs waiting further down the road as normal law – abiding citizens” would. That we are more important, that our time is more precious than those waiting because that’s the way it should be done in the queue. In truth, it is an illustration of man’s inhumanity to man. It shows disrespect to your fellow man. It is, in truth, showing the world a “toffee”.

John 15:19; “If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world”.

The world's hatred of us is an encouragement to us since it is due to the difference Jesus has made within us. . But Jesus does say that those who are his disciples are quite distinct from all that is in rebellion against God and should not be surprised when opposition arises.
